Mike P. Ryan is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Central Oklahoma.  Mike currently lives with his wife and son in Northern Virginia.  Mike performs in a number of venues and festivals throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and all points in between.   Mike’s honors include:

• Finalist – Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Competition 2015
• Honorable Mention Best Acoustic Song Mid-Atlantic Song Contest 2015
• Finalist Connecticut Folk Festival Songwriting Competition 2014
• Artist in Residence NOVA Musician’s Workshop 2014-2016

Mike’s songs songs have been described as “captivating portraits of real people set against a canvas of beautiful music.”

Mike is the founder of the Northern Virginia Singer-Songwriter Group which has grown to over 90 members.  He is also the Artist in Residence at the Virginia Musician’s workshop. Mike is a volunteer musician for Musician’s On Call, which brings music to the bedsides of seriously ill patients confined to hospitals.
